The bankers , Sensational Zanaco maintained their lead at the summit of Stream A thanks to a four one humiliation of defending Champions, Zesco United. With the Kopala Derby taking place at the same time , The ‘Zed derby’ was not given the hype it deserved in the run up to the match.

The match attracted quite a good crowd at the improved Sunset Stadium with a lot of works still under way.

Chitiya Mususu went on a run on the right wing and beat a defender to find his way into the box before slotting in a hard low cross which headed for goal after it hit into Jacob Banda but Mischeck Chaila cleared it on the line but Moussa picked up the lose ball in the box before firing beyond Jacob to put Zanaco in the lead.

Six minutes later Jacob was out of position again and Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike caught him off guard with a nice chip, Shemmy Mayembe tried to clear but it was too late as the ball had crossed the line, 2-0 Zanaco.

Things moved from bad to worse for the electric Boys as Jacob Banda made a horrendous error letting a simple back pass go through him to gift Chitiya Mususu probably the easiest goal of his career 27 minutes into the first half.

George Lwandamina had seen enough at this point and withdrew Banda for youngster Samson Banda, Summing up what was a very bad day at the office for Spider man, One he would want to forget.

In the second half Lwandamina made a few changes bringing in Logic Ching’andu for Rahim Osumanu. Logic reduced the deficit with an easy tap in from a Clement Mwape low cross 26 minutes into the second stanza.

Enerst Mbewe however restored the bankers lead eight minutes to time, 4-1 the match finished with the bankers getting four points off Zesco United in two games.

In Kitwe it was that time again of the Kopala derby as Power dynamos welcomed Nkana at Arthur Davies Stadium bringing the town to a stand still.

Nkana came into this match on the back of a CAF Confederation Cup exit at the hands of CS Sfaxien while Power dynamos came into the match with a new coach, Veteran Fordson Kabole who was making his return to the helm of the Ndeke based club since 2011.

Landlord, Ronald ‘Sate-Sate’ Kampamba put Nkana in the lead in the 10th minute with Tanzanian defender Ramadhan Kessy doubling the lead eighteen minutes into the second half to help Nkana to a 2-0 win.

In Kabwe , There was a double header. In the early Kick off, Lusaka dynamos continued their hunt for Continental football with a narrow one nil win over relegation threatened Prison Leopards.

It was the second match of the day that had all the drama as the match was abandoned two minutes to time after one of the police officers allegedly opened a tear gas canister after one fan jumped the wire fence to celebrate a Tandi Mwape free kick.

“Tandi Mwape’s goal was struck so sweetly. One supporter jumped onto the pitch to celebrate but the Police pounced on him. In the commotion, one officer discharged a tear gas into the crowd,” Warriors posted on their Facebook page.

Napsa Stars leapfrogged Power dynamos into fifth place following their one nil win over Lumwana Radiants courtesy of a Collins Sikombe 24th minute penalty.

Nkwazi moved back to third place thanks to a one nil win away in Mazabuka while the military derby between Green Buffaloes and Red Arrows finished in a one all draw.
