ZSL Preview: Arrows battle Kansanshi, Nkana in Zanaco tricky affair

The Zambian Super League enters week 19 of action this weekend with nine matches taking centre stage.

Kansanshi Dynamos v Red Arrows

Log leaders Red Arrows are away in Solwezi looking to extend their stay at the top with a win away in North Western Province.

Arrows are currently unbeaten in 13 games in the league and the last team to beat them was Kansanshi Dynamos at Nkoloma Stadium.

Kansanshi Dynamos have been busy in the transfer window bringing in four players so far in Jesse Jackson Were, Baba Basile, Marvin Jere and Djo Ntambwe who will all be looking to shine on front of their new fans.

Double header Pa chilata

In Kitwe, A double header will come alive at Nkana Stadium as Indeni welcome Chambishi while Nkana face off with Sensational Zanaco, two games big games for sports betting enthusiasts around the country.

Indeni v Chambishi

Indeni are unbeaten in their last four games with two wins and two draws while Chambishi are coming from back to back wins beating Kabwe Warriors and Kafue Celtic.

A win for Chambishi will push them out of the relegation zone while Indeni can’t afford to slip up as they can easily slide into the relegation zone.

NKana v Zanaco

The second match of the day at Nkana Stadium will see title chasing Nkana welcome inconsistent Sensational Zanaco.

Nkana are unbeaten in their last six games and will be looking to extend that run at home.

The 13 time Champions are however winless against the Bankers in the last three games and last beat the Kelvin Kaindu coached outfit in August 2020 thanks to a 3-0 scoreline.

Moses Phiri is expected to lead the Bankers alongside Abraham Siankombo, Chisamba Lungu and Rodrick Kabwe while Alex Ng’onga and Ronald Kampamba will lead the Nkana front line.

Nigerian forward David Obashi who joined Nkana earlier this week could make his debut for the Beston Chambeshi tutored outfit.

Kafue Celtic v Forest Rangers

At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Kafue Celtic have a chance to get their revenge over Forest Rangers when they welcome the Ndola based outfit on Saturday afternoon.

Fole Malembe beat the Crocs 4-1 in the reverse fixture with Eric Chomba netting a brace.

Celtic are winless in the last four games while Forest Rangers have one win in their last five games.

Konkola Blades v Lusaka Dynamos

In Chililabombwe, The relegation battle dog fight comes alive as Konkola Blades welcome Lusaka Dynamos.

Blades are on a 13 match winless run which includes five straight losses in their last five games.

The Chililabombwe based side are desperate for maximum points but face a Lusaka Dynamos side that are also in need of a positive result after departure of several key players and a poor run of form in the recent past.

Sharp Razor have made a number of recruitments including former ZESCO United forward Maybin Kalengo, veteran Maybin Chishimba and Stanley Nshimbi and they are all expected to be in contention for place in the starting line up.

A win for Lusaka Dynamos can see them leave the relegation zone provided Forest Rangers beat Kafue Celtic.

Prison leopards v Buildcon

In Kabwe, Prison Leopards welcome in-form Team Kopala, Buildcon at the President Stadium.

Buildcon have won all their last three games while Prison Leopards have only five points from a possible 15.

Buildcon will be hoping to win their first game at President Stadium as the two times they have beaten the Collect Boys have all been at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

A win for team Kopala can see them get back into the top four.
