The battle of the Zambezi will come alive in the 2019 COSAFA semi finals as Zambia takes on Zimbabwe at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, South Africa on Wednesday.

Chipolopolo caretaker Coach Aggrey Chiyangi is expecting an uphill battle in tomorrow’s encounter against the Warriors of Zimbabwe. Chiyangi said that he will talk to his players to take the game against Zimbabwe seriously during a training session this morning.

“It Won’t be an easy game but we have to talk to our boys to make sure that they take it serious from the first to the final whistle because Zimbabwe have a Strong team but will talk to our boys and make sure they play well,” He said.

When asked about the changes he made against Malawi Chiyangi said the aim was to qualify to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

” We wanted to win that game so we saw that other players had done their part, so we had put fresh legs in order to add fire power upfront and and it worked to our adavantage, we equalised and won through penalties,” He explained.

Zambia advanced to the Quarterfinals of the COSAFA having eliminated the flames of Malawi 4-2 in Post Match penalties. The Copper Bullets now face a team that has beaten them twice in the final of the same competition back to back.
