ZICA upbeat about nation’s economic trajectory
Mary Kachepa-Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountatnts -ZICA -President CECILIA ZIMBA says the pronouncements made in the 2023 National Budget demonstrate government’s commitment to economic stabilisation and recovery.
Mrs ZIMBA says most of the expectations that ZICA had for the budget were addressed.
She says it is clear that the economy is on the right path for stabilisation, restoring public confidence and strengthening governance structures which will ensure transparancy and accountability and promote public confidence.
In his budget presentation,Finance Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE said having stabilised the debt situation the focus in the next four years is to solve the problem of unemployment.
Dr MUSOKOTWANE said this can not be achieved in a year but there will be progress each year.
He said the process will give hope to those that will not get jobs immediately that they will certainly get employed
