Zesco Tumble In Rabat

Zesco United suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Wydad Casablanca to slip to second position in Group B of the CAF Champions League.

George Lwandamina’s side conceded a goal in each half to record their first defeat in the competition in which they got off to a flying start with a win over Al Ahly at home on match day one in Ndola at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Walid Karti headed the hosts ahead in the 13th minute with David Odiambo turning in his own goal in the 51st minute to overwhelm the visitors.

On Tuesday ASEC Mimosa beat Al Ahly 2-1 away to join Zesco United in second position.

The Zambian side await Asec Mimosa in their next encounter.
