Zesco to begin load shedding on Monday

ZESCO says it will start 8 hours daily load shedding effective Monday, March, 11, 2024.
ZESCO Managing Director VICTOR MAPANI says the decision to start load shedding comes after careful analysis of the water levels in Kafue and Zambezi basins.
Mr. MAPANI told Journalists at a media briefing in Lusaka that ZESCO will lose approximately 35- Million dollars per month due to load shedding.
He said the first weekly schedule will be out by Saturday for people to be able to prepare.
Mr MAPANI said load shedding will be scheduled in the morning, afternoon and evening.
