Zesco United provided the biggest scoreline of week 14 in the MTN/FAZ Super league as they put an end to their four game winless run by handing once Mighty, Mufulira Wanderers a six nil bashing at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Kenyan talisman Jesse Jackson Were and Nigerian forward Quadri Kola scored a brace each while Clement ‘Puyol’ Mwape and Enock Sabamukama added a goal each to round up an emphatic win for the Super League defending Champions.

The win could have bought Coach George Lwandamina time to steady his ship as fans had grown highly frustrated with the teams performance and some were even seen with banners advocating for his derpature shortly before the match.

In Mazabuka the log leaders Zanaco were handed a fourth loss of the season as Nakambala shocked the with a 4-2 beating . Goals from Junior Zulu, Simon Mulenga and Felix Bulaya were enough to secure maximum points for the Zeddy Saileti coached side.

In Kitwe, Nkana survived a shock defeat at the hands of relegation bound Maestro United Zambia as they came from a goal down to beat the Mazabuka based outfit 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Festus Mbewe.

There was a double header at Woodlands Stadium, Circuit City hosted Power dynamos in the early kick off and it was the Kitwe giants who secured maximum points with a narrow one nil win.

In the second match, Napsa Stars and Buildcon played out to a 2-2 draw.Buildcon broke the deadlock after 20 minutes with Moses Phiri converting from the spot after a foul on Elueter Mpepo. John Sikaumbwe equalised five minutes later with a beautiful long range strike that caught the Buildcon goalkeeper off guard.

Aaron Kabwe put the pensioners back in the lead with a great strike and Napsa fans thought they were headed for victory but late pressure from Buildcon paid off as Benyamen Nenkavu equalised with four minutes left on the clock to make sure the two share the spoils.

Terry Mwashi scored a last minute goal to help Prison Leopards to only their second win of the season while Kabwe Warriors and Green Buffaloes settled for a one all draw.
