Information and  Broadcasting Services  Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga says the Zambia News and Information Service is  grappling with transport and other operational challenges, which  has made it difficult for the institution to effectively disseminate information and conducting  public health campaigns on Covid-19.

Mr. Malupenga says there is urgent need to buy new vehicles for ZANIS to improve operations especially in this period of Covid-19.

The Permanent Secretary was speaking in Kitwe when he inspected a ZANIS Nissan Hard body which has been repaired by power tools transport logistics.

And Davies Sikaputo who represented power tools Director Mbachi Nkwazi told the PS that his company will continue working with government to deliver social services.

Meanwhile, Copperbelt ZANIS Information officer Priscilla Simukoko commended Power tools for coming to their aid.
