Zanaco to reinforce their defence as Numba anticipates tough match against Mighty

Sensational Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba has revealed that the bankers will reinforce their defence before the start of the next season. Numba told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview that the bankers would bring in one or two cantre backs to resolve the problems in defence.

The bakers have been leaking in goals for fun with only two clean sheets kept in the 16 games they have played so far this season, 26 goals conceded in just 16 games almost twice as much as they conceded back in 2016 (17 goals, 1 at home).

“We have plans to reinforce the defence especially the central defence because that’s were we are not doing well . We will try and bring in one or two central defenders to try and strengthen the team,” He said.

The bankers beat Green Buffaloes on Saturday 2-1 to return to winning ways and put their title race back on track. The bankers will face relegation threatened Mighty Mufulira Wanderers next weekend a match Numba Mumamba is expecting to be a difficult encounter.

“It will be a very difficult game. Mighty Mufulira Wanderers are in the relegation zone and those teams are difficult to beat especially at their home ground but we just have to go there with everything and force a win to push ourselves up the ladder,” He said.

Zanaco are currently sit in second place with 29 points from 16 games with two games left to conclude the transitional season.
