Zanaco assistant coach reveals reason for poor defence

Sensational Zanaco assistant coach Dabid Chilufya has revealed the reason why the bankers have been conceding goals carelessly in this MTN/FAZ Trqnstional Super League.

The bankers who have been free scoring have however been leaking in a lot of goals with only two clean sheets kept in the 15 games they have played so far this season.

Chilufya told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview that the bankers technical team have now realised that the defence is not the problem but the strikers who fail to help out in defence every time the opposition has the ball.

“Its not the defence that is the problem but the strikers who have not helped the defenders. When we lose the ball they strikers have failed to freak back to help in defence .What we did not know that the strikers were not marking that’s why the defence has been leaking in a lot of goals,” He said.

“We have told them (strikers) that they should help out in defence . They have to defend as a team,” He added.

Chilufya also revealed that the bankers will line up an uncahged squad on Saturday when they play the Soldiers as they believe they don’t have a problem despite back to back losses.

” We have not changed anything because if we do we will look like we are in a crisis , Everything is fine it was only the loses we suffered,” Chilufya said.

The bankers who slipped to third place last weekend will host Green Buffaloes at Sunset Stadium on Saturday as they look to take back top slot in Stream A.
