ZamFoots Top five pick and rating for the weekend

Week four of the MTN/FAZ Super League came with two mouth watering encounters. Record twelve time Super League Champions, Nkana hosted their cross town rivals Powerful Power dynamos in an electric Kopala derby while defending Champions Zesco United hosted red hot Sensational Zanaco.

In Exciting derby that had a little of everything (Goals, tempers and fights, Cards) it was the yellow side of Kitwe, Power dynamos who emerged victorious while Zesco and Zanaco played out to a goalless draw.

The ZamFoot crew was also following the action and now takes you through their best five picks from the two matches and the ratings they have been given by ZamFoot panel of authors.

1) .Lawrence Mulenga had an excellent game and made 9 crucial saves. Two of the saves were one on ones and 1was a penalty save. His distribution was pretty decent at 55%. Managed the game well and gets a 9/10 rating for his performance.

2) Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga – His sending off aside, He was forceful in the match. He scored one and assisted another. He got into good positions to get two other chances which he missed but did well to get there in first place. He also tracked back too to defend. It was a 7/10 performance.

3). Clement Mwape-Recovered well from early substitution in Kumasi. Solid in defence and main pillar for Zesco. Made 5 important clearances and interceptions from our count. Did well in duels against leading goalscorer this season Roger Kola and in form Chitiya Mususu when he went in as main marker. He gets a 7/10 rating from us.

4). Tafadzwa Rusike- The Zimbabwean midfield ace was lively as always and carried Zanaco’s threat from midfield. He had 3-4 shots which he fashioned from his own creativity and good positioning. Worked hard both in attack and effectively so in defence. Very few midfielders are able to go deep and collect like he does. At times he goes between centre backs to collect and launch from there but because he didn’t score or assist will give him a 6/10 rating.

Mwila Phiri Jr- The converted left back went up and down with assurance. Looked better positionally and contributed on both ends. Had 3 goal attempts from left back and was always available as an outlet. It’s a

6/10 rating from us.
