The MTN/FAZ Super League entered the second round last weekend with a number of mouth watering games taking center stage all around the country and the ZamFoot crew was on hand to monitor the games and as usual picked their team of the week.

Zesco United returned back to winning ways and of course led by their main man, Star forward Lazarus Kambole who scored a goal and assisted another as they beat Green Buffaloes 3-1 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Full Team of the week:

GK: Charles Muntanga (Nkwazi), The Nkwazi goalkeeper made a number of good saves and kept a clean sheet as his wide played to a goalless draw with Napsa Stars.

RB: Hassan Kessy (Nkana), The Tanzanian defender gave it his all even in a match that his side was in shambles. Despite losing to Lumwana the right back put in a decent performance.

CB:Tandi Mwape (Kabwe Warriors ), The Kabwe Warriors centre back was all over Chris Mugalu and literary pocketed the Lusaka dynamos deadly striker to help his team keep a clean sheet. Coach Patrick Phiri acknowledged the fact that Tandi kept Mugalu out of the match.

CB: Allan Kapila (Lumwana Radiants ), The Lumwana Radiants captain was solid and kept Nkana’s strikeforce at bay as Lumwana managed to record their first ever win over Nkana.

LB: Paul Mwiya (Circuit City), The young left back had a good game and stopped a number of attacks from Buildcon.

DMF: Clifford Saidi (Power dynamos), The former Kabwe Youth defensive midfielder put in a solid performance as Power dynamos narrowly beat Maestro United Zambia away in Mazabuka.

CM: Austin Muwowo (Forest Rangers ), The Forest Rangers forward was again a marvel to watch despite his team losing to Green Eagles. He also scored a beauty of a strike to take his tally for the season to six.

LMF: Lameck Banda (Buildcon), The Zambia U20/U23 winger was a thorn in the fresh of the Circuit city defence and set up Chanda MushilI for the only goal of the match.

RMF: Richard Zulu (Circuit City), The young winger was is slowly becoming a fan favourite and Buildcon defenders had a tough afternoon trying to contain him as he put in another wonderful performance.

CF: Tapson Kaseba (Green Eagles), The Choma Green Eagles lanky forward scored a spectacular goal and put in a wonderful shift all round as Eagles beat Forest Rangers 2-1. The goal was his first of the season.

CF: Lazarus Kambole (Zesco United), The Zega Star forward was again the match winner as he scored and assisted in Zesco United’s 3-1 win over Green Buffaloes.

Player of the week : Lazarus Kambole (Zesco United): The Zesco United talisman has been voted the player of the week for leading Zesco United too victory for the first time in five league games.

Coach of the week : Chewe Mulenga (Lumwana ), The stand in Coach at Lumwana masterminded the ‘Uranium Boys’ first win over Nkana.

Bench :

Ngeleka Katembwa (Buildcon), Kept a clean sheet against Circuit City making a number of saves.

John Kiaku (Lumwana), The Former City of Lusaka defender put in a decent sheet.

Kosuke Nakamachi: The Japanese midfielder was fantastic on the day and set up Lazarus Kambole for his goal.

Simon Mulenga (Nakambala), The Nakambala forward scored the only goal of the game as the Sugar Boys beat Kitwe United by a lone goal away in Buchi.

Trust Gomezani (Prison Leopards), Gomezani scored the only goal of the game and handed Prison Leopards their first win of the season.
