By Hector Simfukwe- President Edgar Lungu says there has been increased Cooperation between Zambia and Turkey.

President Lungu says the two countries could, however, not implement all the agreements because of the Covid 19.

The Head of state says all the outstanding agreements will be implemented in due course.

He said this when outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Zambia Sebnem Incesu paid a courtesy call on him at State House to bid farewell.

The President thanked Ms Incesu for the role she played in strengthening relations between Zambia and her Country.

He said there is need for more cooperation in areas like trade between the two peoples.

And Ms Incesu said she was happy to have worked in Zambia and contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.

She said the visit by President Lungu to Turkey and the visit by that country’s President Recep TayyiP Erdogan to Zambia has shaped relations between the two countries.

The Turkish envoy also thanked Zambians for the hospitality given to her during her tour of duty.
