Zambia’s Chipolopolo Face Togo In International Friendly

Chipolopolo-ChanThe Zambia national team will this evening play the first of their two international friendly matches against Togo in Lome as they prepare for the June 4 Gabon 2017 Africa Cup qualifier against Guinea Bissau.

Coach George Lwandamina has been afforded a chance to test his arsenals against the hawks to help sharpen his lads going into the crucial encounter in Guinea.

Lwandamina has carried a fairly strong side with the luxury of experienced players like newly crowned South Africa Premier Soccer League top scorer Collins Mbesuma, Winstone Kalengo, Lubambo Musonda and defence kingpin Stoppilla Sunzu.

Israel based Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa complete the list of foreign based players available for this encounter while skipper Rainford Kalaba, Kennedy Mweene, Chisamba Lungu, Nathan Sinakala and Kabaso Chongo will be available for the clash against Gambia on Sunday before the team heads to Guinea for Saturday’s clash.

Guinea leads Group E on seven points, one better than second placed Congo Brazzaville and Zambia with the Red Devils enjoying a better goal difference than the Chipolopolo before the final two rounds of the campaign.

The match will kick off at 18:00 hours Zambian time.
