Zambian Leading travel agencies learn more about Emirates products and services
Emirates, which flies daily direct from Lusaka to Dubai, hosted a workshop in Lusaka recently that aimed to share news about the airline’s products and services with local travelling agencies.
Some 40 representatives from the country’s leading travel agencies heard about online check-in, Dubai as a destination, new extra excess baggage allowances and policies, as well as the skywards and business rewards, said Emirates workshop organiser Stella Milner.
The Emirates Skywards and Business Rewards services motivate and reassure customers of getting better products and services at suitable discounts making every mile with Emirates award-winning frequent flyer programme, she explained.
Membership to the Skywards and Business rewards were outlined in the workshop as they give customers the chance to earn and spend miles with Emirates. A wide selection of partners, enjoy the travel experience with benefits and services that make every trip more rewarding, added Ms Milner.
Emirates’ Online Check-in service highlights the advantages of making the work easy for travel agents. Travel agents and customers enjoy a smarter check-in experience by saving time at the airports. Travellers can choose their seats at no extra cost, and then print their boarding pass or receive a mobile boarding pass of which they need to remember to enter their Emirates Skywards number to earn Miles on their flights.
The airline’s new extra excess baggage allowance and policies were also laid out. Under the new baggage regime, for flights booked from 15 April 2016 economy class customer will get a baggage allowance of two bags weighing up to 23kg each, taking the current weight allowance to 46kg from 30kg. Business class passengers see their allowance increased to two bags of 32kg each, taking the weight to 64kg from 40kg.
Emirates encouraged the travel agency to share the attractions of Dubai, including desert safaris, beautiful beaches, shopping, visits to a series of 200 man-made islands in the shape of the countries of the world, or the opportunity to visit the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.
Emirates endeavours in making its customers receive the best services possible when booking their flights from the travel agencies.
The workshop hosted at Southern Sun went on until lunch where the visitors were served with food upon completion of the workshop.
