Zambia U-20 Rout Botswana U-20 In Cosafa Opener

December 4, 2019December 4, 201928By Chansa Kunda-Zambia has started its 2019 Under-20 COSAFA Cup tournament with a 5-0 victory over Botswana in the second group B encounter played at the Nkoloma stadium this afternoon.Kafue Celtics Striker Francisco Mwepu gave Zambia the lead, five minutes into the game.Zambia’s defining moment came in the 33 rd minute when Maestro United Defender Crawford Mwaba scored a rear bicycle kick to make it two Nil .MWABA is among a few players in global football to have scored the goal which is usually a trait of Juventus and Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo.In the second half young NAPSA Stars Striker Jimmy Mukeya scored a brace in the 64th and 79th minutes before he was substituted and replaced with  Ricky Banda who   scored the fourth for the Junior Chipolopolo in the 85th minute.Zambia Top group B on five goals and three points and are followed by Malawi who beat the COMOROS Islands 4- 0 in the First group B match played in the early afternoon.Malawian Striker Patrick Mwangulu scored a hattrick in the 27th, 65th and 90th minute while Francisco Madinga added a goal in the 57th minute as the match ended four nil.Malawi are second owing to the goal difference between the two Nations who are both tied on three points while Comoros Islands are third with  Botswana bottom of the log .Day one of the 2019 U-20 COSAFA cup has produced 17 goals in the three matches played at the Nkoloma stadium.And the biggest triumph was in the opening game of the day as Angola beat Seychelles 8 – nil in the first group C encounter.Action Continues tomorrow as the 2019  U-20  COSAFA tournament enters day two .Three games will be played at the Sunset stadium as Mozambique will face Eswatini in the remaining group C fixture.All Group B teams will be in action as Lesotho take on Madagascar while Defending Champions South Africa will be up against Mauritius.
