ZAMBIA TABLE TENNIS BAILED OUT

Government has bailed out the Zambia Table Tennis Association by footing their expenses for the Regional Five Games in South Africa.

The Association had a short fall of 270,000 Kwacha to send a team to South Africa for the World Cup qualifiers.

Zambia Table Tennis Association President MUTALE NG’ANDU says the Association is grateful to government for the gesture.

NG’ANDU says government will provide air tickets, accommodation, meals and allowances for the players.

He told ZNBC News in Lusaka that 10 athletes will travel to South Africa for the qualifiers and that the target for Zambia is to qualify for the World Cup.

And Zambia Number ONE Female player MUBANGA KUNDA said the team is ready for the tournament.

KUNDA said the team has since intensified preparations for the tournament which will take place in South Africa starting on July 2nd.
