ZAMBIA STILL WAITING FOR U.S RESPONSE- ECL

President Edgar Lungu says Zambia is still waiting for a response from the US Government regarding a Demarche which was issued to that country over comments made by its Ambassador Daniel Foote.Recently the ministry of foreign Affairs issued a Demarche to the US government following comments made by ambassador Foote after the conviction and jailing of a Kapiri Mposhi couple for practicing homosexuality.Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations Isaac Chipampe has since clarified that government has not issued any new Demarche.He says President Lungu’s comments during a church service in Choma is therefore not a new Demarche but an earlier one which was issued by the ministry of foreign affairs.
