The Canadian Government says Zambia has become an attractive investment destination in the mining sector owing to policy stability.
Canadian High Commissioner to Zambia KYLE NUNAS says policies around the mining sector have projected longevity which has created investor confidence within and outside the country.
Mr. NUNAS says investors feel safe to invest in the mining sector because they are assured of making profits on their investment.
He says Canadian firms have expressed interest to invest in the country’s mining sector following the discovery of large Copper deposits at Ming’omba Mine in Chililabombwe.
Speaking when he met North Western Province Permanent Secretary GRANDSON KATAMBI, Mr. NUNAS said the government has actively shown its commitment to improving the mining sector through policy formulation.
Meanwhile, Colonel KATAMBI has called on the Canadian government to diversify its investment portfolio in the country by encouraging investment in the agriculture sector.
