ZAMBIA HITS 50 THOUSAND THRESHOLD FOR VACCINATIONS

Zambia has crossed the 50 thousand threshold for vaccinations just twenty days after the launch of the vaccination exercise.

Health Permanent Secretary Technical Services Kennedy Malama says Government continues to commend Zambians who have taken the vaccine as part of the response to the pandemic.

Dr. Malama has also disclosed that the vaccine is now available in all parts of the country.

Speaking during the COVID update today, Dr. Malama also announced that the second dose may not be available but assured that Government will work tirelessly to ensure that it is made available when the dosage is due.

And Dr. Malama has also announced that 82 new covid cases were detected in the last 24 hours out of 4 thousand 9 hundred and 98 tests.

He said one death and 36 discharges have been recorded, while 36 patients remain in COVID isolation centers countrywide.
