ZAMBIA EXPECTS $390M FOR HIV/AIDS FIGHT

Zambia is likely to receive 390 million United States Dollars towards the fight against HIV/AIDS.

And the United States of America through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has reaffirmed its commitment towards accelerating Zambia’s goal to eradicate AIDS by 2030.

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary, LUCKSON KASONKA says this includes funds which the United States government will give to implementing partners.

Professor KASONKA was speaking on the sidelines of the Country Operational Plan (COP23) Co-planning meeting that focused on reviewing the new PEPFAR strategic vision.

This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News by First Secretary Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High commission in Pretoria , TAMARA NYIRENDA.
