ZAMBIA EASE OF DOING BUSINESS DROPS BY 2 POINTS

The Ministry of Commerce says there is need to come up with a framework aimed at supporting business reforms.
Ministry of Commerce Permanent Secretary Kayula Siame says the framework should bring together ministries involved in reforms with a view of reducing the cost of doing business.
Mrs. Siame told ZNBC News in an interview that while Zambia’s ranking in terms of Ease of Doing Business globally has dropped from 85 to 87 out of 190 countries.
She however noted that the country remains competitive in the region.
She says Zambia has been ranked number 8 in Africa in terms of Ease of Doing Business while in Sub-Saharan Africa its ranking stands at number 6 and at number four in the SADC region.
