‘Zambia can benefit from oil exploration’

NANCY SIAME, Lusaka
FORMER President Rupiah Banda says Zambia has the potential to improve its energy sector from rewards of oil exploration.
Mr Banda said Zambia and other African countries should learn from Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea on the exploration of oil and gas.
He said this during the 2018 Africa Oil and Power Conference in Cape Town, where he also bestowed honours on the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Secretary General Muhammad Sanusi.
“Zambia oil and gas exploration resumed with enthusiasm in 2000 following the discovery of oil and gas in Uganda and Kenya in the Great East African Rift Valley,” Mr Banda said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
