Zambeef players future on the pitch uncertain

FAZ Central Province Division One side Zambeef players are not sure if they will play their FAZ division one central games, the ZamFoot Crew can reveal.

Zambeef was last season relegated from the national league to the provincial division one central and they have so far in the 2021 football season not played any games and have stalled training, The ZamFoot Crew understands.

They postponed their week 9 match with Serenje Police Rangers through writing from FAZ because of COVID-19 but failed to fulfill the home fixture against young raiders in week 10.

Players who spoke to the ZamFoot Crew based on anonymity said Management is skeptical about allowing the team to travel because of the rising Coronavirus cases.

“We have talked to management and they said allowing players to travel and play football might contact the virus and can spread it around and if cases increase in the company it may lead to the closure of the company.”

Some players have no option as most of them are employed by the company and have resorted to concentrate on work others have joined Fringila FC across the road.

Zambeef has not trained since the second wave of the COVID-19.
