YOUTH CHALLENGED

A Lusaka Businessman has called for a change of mindset among youths, if they are to create their own jobs and wealth.
Chris Chiinda of Lusaka’s Kamanga area says Zambian youths have potential to prosper in business.
Mr. Chiinda however bemoaned the laziness and fake luxury lifestyles that some of the youths want to lead.
He has called on youths to move away from the syndrome of waiting for government to create and provide jobs for them.
Mr. Chiinda has further acknowledged government’s efforts to create jobs for the youths especially in the construction sector.
He was speaking when he addressed several youths from Kamanga and other surrounding areas at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lusaka’s Kamanga compound today.
And St. Joseph Catholic Church Kamanga Congregation Youth Patron Peter Kapasula encouraged youths to form synergies with other successful youths and learn from them on how to start business even with little capital.
Meanwhile, Assistant Parish Priest Father Lazarous Chewe said the church will continue to work with successful business persons to mentor the youths.
