Young Buffaloes dislodge Misisi at the summit as five games end in draws

The Lusaka Province, FAZ Division One crossed the halfway mark as the teams played their 18th matches of the season with the majority of games ending in a draws while Young Zanaco recorded their second win in a row. Young Buffaloes have also gone back on top of the table after beating Misisi Academy.

Misisi Youth Academy Football Club surrendered their command of the Lusaka Provincial league after going to a 1 nil defeat against title-chasing rivals Young Green Buffaloes. A win for Buffaloes saw them move to the top with 36 points 2 ahead of Misisi who dropped to second place and have 34 points after 18 games played. Emmanuel Sichula scored the only important goal of the match for Young Buffaloes in the first half and it was jealously defended until the last whistle.

In another match from Sunset Stadium, vector seems to be going out of the contention of the championship challenge as they have failed to register a win in their last 5 games. The latest one is their 2-0 away loss at the hands of relegation fighters Young Zanaco.

Vector has drawn 4 and lost one in their last five games whereas the Young Zanaco side seems to find the winning formula as they have now managed to register 2 wins in a row with striker Anderson Chilapa putting up a splendid performance scoring 3 goals in his last 3 games.

In other matches, Young NAPSA and Lusaka City Council maintained their third and fourth respective places after battling it out to a nil-all draw on Saturday. Riflemen and Kabwata Dynamos shared a point each as well after 1 all-draw with Oyster Mwakatambala and Lawrence Mundia Munshya scoring for either side.

At Miller ground, Paramilitary striker Allan Bwalya is back in action once again from the injury room and he had to put himself on a score sheet in their 3-1 win over Happy Hearts. Meanwhile Shamuel Vs Airport Warriors, Chongwe United Vs Athletico Lusaka, Kalilo Celtic Vs Chainda Bombers all matches ended in a goalless draw whereas Sable Bulls lost 2-1 away to Irwin Rangers.
