You will be cited for contempt, Nakacinda warned

MMD spokesperson Irene Musonda has warned Rafael Nakacinda that he risks being cited for contempt if he attempts to comment on any MMD matter as he remains suspended from the party and therefore has no mandate to comment on any matter related to the MMD.

Nakacinda, who is the national secretary for the Felix Mutation MMD faction, yesterday told a press briefing that the Supreme Court did not restore Nevers Mumba as MMD president but merely referred the matter back to the High Court for retrial.

He accused the Mumba faction of twisting the Supreme Court ruling to give an impression that Dr. Mumbai has been restored as MMD president.

But Musonda argues that following the Supreme Court ruling which threw out the court order “misinterpreted and erroneously” used by Mutati, Nakacinda and Mwansa Mbulakulima to justify holding the “illegal” convention in Kabwe and engaging in other “illegal activities”, the party will not tolerate Nakacinda’s intransigency or lawlessness and advises him to stay away from all MMD matters pending the issuing of a new court order from the Lusaka High Court.
