YASA suffer first defeat as Grace Chanda, Diana Banda and Towera Nkhata star for their teams

The Lusaka Region FAZ Women’s League entered Week 11 of action which saw National Assembly triumph over Yasa Queens in a game of the weekend. Two first half goals from Grace Kamanga and Norin Betani for the Parliamentarians inflicted a painful loss and first defeat of the season to Yasa beating them two goals to one At Yasa Ground to end their 10 match unbeaten run.

Patricia Lampi scored the only goal for Yasa converting from the penalty spot. This loss sent Yasa to 3rd Position on the table as they were dislodged from second position by Red Arrows who moved a point above them on 27 points coming from behind away in Makeni at Green Eagles after Natasha Nanyangwe had put the home team in the lead thanks to second half goals from Grace Chanda with a hatrick and Macrina Daka with a goal which was all what the Air Women needed to go back home with maximum 3 points as they won the game four goals to one.
In Chibolya, Nkwazi Queens continued with their impressive run after beating Kafue Cranes 2 – 1 at home to make sure they close in on the top 5 blackets. A brace from in-form High Flying Nkwazi striker Towera Nkhata which was enough to hand the police sponsored outfit a sweet Victory over the Cranes who had a consolation goal through Maggie Chilekwa.

Elsewhere at Prince Takamado Ground, four late Goals in the dying minutes of the game helped Bauleni Queens to edge Chiparamba Breakthrough Sports Academy 4 – 2 thanks to a Diana Banda brace and a goal apiece from Salome Phiri And Sherry Shamasumo.
The Bauleni Outfit got back to winning ways and are now at par on 16 points with Pamalat who recorded their second successive victory as they walked away with 3 points beating Olympic Flying Queens two Goals to one at their backyard.
Luyando Foundation were on Bye this weekend where as Green Buffaloes will on Wednesday 8th May, 2019 welcome the Chilanga outfit Lusaka Queens at Arakan Barrack Ground.
