Yasa Queens coach Mervis Nachinga described her team’s 1-Nil loss at the hands of Green Buffaloes as disappointing but said her girls lost the game with dignity as they gave it their all. Nachinga blamed the loss on her teams failure to utilize their chances which cost them the match.

Speaking in an interview with the Zamfoot Crew after the match, Nachinga said she was proud of her team’s performance as they did everything right and felt they could have won the game.

“My girls had the chances we would have equalized and infact could have even won the game it was just not our day,” said the ever smiling Nachinga.

This was a third loss in a row for Yasa and she still feels they are still 100% title contenders and will always take each game as it comes with seriousness it deserves.

As at week 10, Yasa and Green Buffaloes (still without a loss as at week 13) were the only two teams in the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Lusaka Region Women’s League to have been undefeated.

She described first round of fixtures has excellent and losing to big teams shows that Yasa is a big team too and it’s still on the map and has sent a strong message to Green Buffaloes, National Assembly, Red Arrows, Nkwazi to watch out for her team in the next round.

Next assignment for Yasa was supposed to be a home game against Lusaka United on May 25, 2019 which is on Bye but a week later would be an away fixture to Bauleni Queens at Prince Takamado Football Ground.
