👉Lusaka Dynamos 1-1 Police Dove Queens (Grave Tembo | Enelesi Phiri)

Lusaka Dynamos Ladies Football Club this morning were held to a goalless draw by Police Dove Queens in a 2020/21 FAZ Women’s Super League Rescheduled Match Week 6 played at The National Sports Development Center (NASDEC) Complex.

The Elite Ladies were going into this game as the favorites between the two teams because of their performance so far in the league playing 6 games, winning 4 and drawing 3 but of course without a defeat while Dove Queens have not had a very good start to the season losing 5 out of 7 games with a win and a draw to their name.

The game started on a high note and with just less than a minute of play Dove goal poacher Enelesi Phiri almost grabbed an early goal pouncing on a mistake from Elite Ladies captain Martha Ng’uni but her effort was an easy one for Mary Nanyinza in goal for Dynamos.

Just before the 20th-minute mark, Doves in-form striker Enelesi Phiri scored from the run of play utilizing a Luyi Muyoyu assist to put the Fearless Girls in an early lead and that was enough for Dove Queens to go to the break with a slender 1-nil advantage.

After resumption in the second half, Dynamos came back with more firepower and it was obviously direct instruction from the technical bench for the ladies to go with an outright attack and they did just that but Melody Mulosa ensured that she does all the necessary work in the middle of the park for Doves with tough marking.

Coach Grace Mwango rested Elizabeth Mupeso for Naomi Phiri to increase numbers in attack. Dynamos also had more opportunities in the second half but good work by Luyi Chinyonge in goal for Doves ensured that her team remained in the lead.

However, after back-to-back attacks by the Elite, it finally paid off as Grace ‘Njonginjo’ Tembo slotted home the equalizing goal pouncing on a loose ball in the 18-yard box benefiting from a Towela Nkhata corner kick to make it 1-1.

Both teams had a share of opportunities but unfortunately, they had to share the spoils a result which has pushed Dynamos to the top of the log standings with 15 points while Doves have also moved up to 11th position.

The Elite Ladies will have a tricky tie this weekend against Green Buffaloes at home while The Fearless Girls will host Nkwazi Queens in a Police Derby in Solwezi in their respective match week 9 encounters.
