Woman murdered,husband on the run

ZANIS—A 28 year old woman of Chibuluma township of Kalulushi district on the Copperbelt  has been allegedly murdered by her husband after a domestic dispute.

Copperbelt Police Ellias Chushi confirmed in a statement to ZANIS that 28 year old Mwape Nsepe of Chibuluma township was allegedly murdered by her husband Oliver Simpamba on January 22, 2021 around 23:30 hours after a domestic dispute.

“the deceased sustained a stab wound on the right side of her abdomen with an unknown sharp object”, Mr Chushi said.

Mr Chushi confirmed that the report was made available to the police  by Webster Nsepe, 50, who is the father to the deceased.

He said police have visited the scene and confirmed the report.

Mr Chushi said the body of the deceased is currently at Kalulushi general hospital awaiting postmortem.

Police have not made any arrest as the suspect is at large.
