Austrian based striker Patson Daka heaped praise on his teammates for the fantastic form he is currently enjoying at his Club Redbull Salzburg.

Daka has scored seven goals in his first five Competitive games but believes he can’t do it by himself without the help of his teammates who assist him to score the goals that he is scoring. He feels his role is to help the team.

When asked about feeling the pressure ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League playoff match against Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, Daka admitted feeling the pressure but believes it will inspire the Austrian Bundesliga League to work hard.

“I think it’s very important not only for me that we have had five wins from five games as a team because it gives us more confidence and we know that we are in the right direction. And for me personally, to be able to score seven goals so far it’s been a great season this far and it’s important for me to be helping the team which is my main goal, Am achieving it so far with the help of the team because without their assists I can’t be able to score these goals, ” Daka said during a pre-match press conference.

“Yes, I do and I think every person has pressure despite the field that you in but what is important for and the team is to understand that what matters is how you accept and handle the pressure. For us it inspires to work hard because we understand that we are only as good as our next game, Pressure is always there but it’s our inspiration to work hard in the next game,” he added.

Salzburg recorded a 2-1 away in Israel in the first game but the former Kafue Celtic striker feels the win away is of no consequence to the upcoming fixture which is the one that will determine if they will proceed to the group stages.

“We might have an advantage but tomorrow’s game is not about the previous result but a different ball game they will come with everything they have and we expect a fight from them so we just have to be ready and focus on tomorrow’s game because tomorrow’s result will decide the future and what how much we will put in will determine how the result will be. First of all, every game is important to us and means a lot because we want to protect our reputation, I don’t have any specific rituals I just pray to God and leave everything in his hands,” he said.

Daka will be looking to open his UEFA Champions League account this season when Salzburg host Maccabi Tel Aviv this evening at the Redbull Arena.
