Nkwazi boss Chris Kaunda questioned the role of the fourth in officiating games after his team played out to a one all draw with Lumwana Radiants.
Kaunda wanted to know if the fourth official’s job was just to make substitution s and send coaches away from the technical bench when they had something wrong. The Nkwazi was reacting to an off the ball incident that the referee did not see but the fourth official failed to assist the referee with information despite being in a better position and closer to the said incident.

“There is something I would love you people to help us with. What is the role of the fourth official. Are they here just for substitutions and intimidate us? Maybe someone should explain to us. We have seen in Europe they discuss with coaches now here if you try to talk to them they just sit down. What we seeing in Europe and in Zambia are two different things are the roles different,” he said.
“You see my player was kicked here away from the ball , What was his role ? He answered he has seen. We are not blaming referring for anything because the guys on the pitch were okay . We just trying to understand the role of the fourth official. We had no problem with the referee and his two assistants,” he added.
Nkwazi and Lumwana played out to a one all draw with Lumwana Radiants on Friday to open a two point lead at the summit.
Emmanuel Chabula put Nkwazi in the lead in the 76th minute with a well taken low shot from the outside of the area but the lead did not last as Victor Mubanga equalised just two minutes later to make sure the two teams pick a point each.
