Nkana coach Beston ‘QuickSilver’ Chambeshi has described yesterday’s hard fought win against Napsa Stars as a stepping stone to playing continental football next season.

The Twelve time Super league Champions came from behind twice and sealed a winner in the 83rd minute to beat NAPSA Stars 3-2 in a rescheduled week nine encounter at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

Chambeshi told the ZamFoot Crew in a post match interview that the victory was a motivation ahead of their next game against Buildcon over the weekend. Chambeshi also praised his striking force for the spirited fight.

“I think the boys have fought and we wanted this game very much, were we are on the log, we are not very safe but for this win we can lift up our heads and look forward for the next games,” Chambeshi said.

Chambeshi is confident that his team will fight hard till the final game and has not ruled out the possibility of his team qualifying for continental football next season.

Nkana’s win against Napsa Stars was their first win in 5 games and has since pushed them to 22 points, 6th position, 7 points behind second positioned side Buildcon.

Nkana has a slight chance of qualifying to the CAF Confederation cup tournament with two games to go and a game in hand against Forest Rangers. This can only happen if the Wusakile outfit win all their remaining 3 matches and hope second placed Buildcon and/or third placed Nkwazi do not pick any maximum points from their remaining two games.
