Zambia National soccer team coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic says his side is now focusing on the match against Guinea after they recorded an impressive two-nil win over the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in matchday one of CHAN group D.

Speaking to the ZAMFOOT crew after the match, Micho said they won the match for the supporters.

“Looking forward to the Guinea game, there is no opponent we can say is easy here,” he said.

” We need to plan, we need to have five aspects, (1)strategic awareness of the strongest and weakness of Guinea team (2) We need to show the mental strength because it’s a tendency that when we win, we think we have achieved something meanwhile you have not done anything because the Tanzania game was a 50/50 affair (3) We need to recover the team in 3 days to the next match (4) International football demands much more technically effect, am happy with the way we have handled the ball today and we need to much more competitive in the international demand and (5) Technically competitiveness that needs to come in comparison to our brothers CECAFA style of football to West African frontals teams like Guinea and this is exactly adjustments we need to make but let’s not speak about this let players speak on the field of play with there performance.”

Zambia sits in the second position with 3 points same as group leaders Guinea but the Syli Nationale have a better goal difference hence being at the summit of the table.

The chipolopolo boys’ next match is against Namibia on Saturday who won 3-0 against Namibia before wrapping up the group with a match with Brave Warriors three days later.
