We are aiming for top two finish – Zanaco Coach

‘Sensational’ Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba has declared that his team will be going for a win they meet second from bottom Kitwe United in a week 12 fixture.

Zanaco who are in Stream A of the FAZ MTN Super League will be looking to turn their fortunes around against the ‘Buchi Boys’ after registering back to back losses that has seen them drop into second position on the log.

Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew just after the final training before leaving for Kitwe, Numba declared his side ready for the game.

“We are very much prepared. We have been preparing since Monday, we are going to Kitwe for a win for us to be in better position to maintain  the top spot.

He stated that he was alive to the fact that the team needed to improve after losses to Red Arrows and Lusaka Dynamos;

“Dropping points won’t be good for us because we are aspiring to be among the top two in the group.”

The free scoring Bankers who have only failed to score once against Zesco United have scored a total of 27 goals but have the most porous defense in the league having conceded 17 times.

To add to their woes, they will be without their most stable defender Owusu who received a red card against Lusaka Dynamos.

The Buchi Boys on the other hand have not won in the last seven games having drawn four times in the process. They have scored 9 goals and  conceded 14  so far with only one win in the season.
