WATER CONTAMINATED: 26 HOUSEHOLDS AFFECTED

Twenty-six households in Lusaka’s Mtendere township have been affected by the suspected water contamination.

And Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister Jonas Chanda says the Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company has heightened investigations into the matter.

Dr. Chanda says the investigations will ensure the actual source of the problem is known so that remedial action is taken.

The Minister says the water utility company has since supplied water to affected areas using bowsers.
