Warriors sign Zimbabwean goalkeeper and Munene

Kabwe Warriors have signed Zimbabwean goalkeeper Collen Phiri and Zambian defender Nchimunya Munene.

The Magnificent People’s team announced the acquisition of the former FC Platinum goal minder this morning while Munene joined the club two days ago.

“The club is delighted to announce the signing of Zimbabwean goalkeeper Collen Phiri.”

Phiri has expressed happiness with the move and believes that Kabwe Warriors is one of the biggest teams in the league.

“I am so happy to be here, ” Phiri told Kabwe Warriors media.

“I am delighted to be here because it’s one of the biggest clubs in the League. As a goalkeeper, my duty is to deliver and have a number of clean sheets.”

The Club is pleased to announce the signing of defender Nchimunya Munene from Mufulira Wanderers. Munene has signed a long-term contract with the Magnificent People’s Team.

Munene even made his debut this afternoon as he came on to replace Ali Sadiki in the 81st minute in Warriors 1-0 win over Zanaco at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
