VP Wina flags off relief distribution in Chikanta,Sichifulo

January 26, 2020January 26, 202014Vice President Inonge Wina has flagged off the distribution of over 28,000 bags relief mealie meal in Chikanta and Sichifulo resettlements in Kalomo and Nyawa district respectively.The government through the Office of the Vice President is distributing 26,800 of relief mealie meal and 20,200 bags of beans in Sichifulo resettlement.In Chikanta resettlement, the government is distributing 1,680 bags of relief mealie meal to cushion the hunger situation.And Mrs. Wina said the government will not relent in its efforts to distribute relief food in areas that are hit by the drought in the last farming season.The Vice President has assured the residents in the two resettlements that government is working to improve access to water, education and health in the two areas.And PF Member of the Central Committee, Kebby Mbewe said the distribution of relief food in the two resettlements is a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to take development and aid to all parts of the country.
