VEDANTA DONATES K180,000 TO FOOTBALL CLUB

Vedanta Resources has handed over 180,000 Kwacha to Aguila Stars Football Club for the remainder of the 2022/2023 FAZ Division One National League season.

This is Vedanta’s third donation to Aguila Stars after providing the team with 10,000 United States Dollars following a kit sponsorship deal worth 268,000 Kwacha in June last year.

Vedanta Limited Resources Director Corporate Affairs, MASUZYO NDHLOVU says the mining firm remains committed to contributing to the development of Sports in the country.

Speaking during a Press Briefing in Lusaka, NDHLOVU said Vedanta has made Sports development a top priority in its cooperating social responsibility.

Meanwhile, Aguila Stars Football Club President CHEMBE CHIBWE said the continued support by Vedanta Resources will help motivate the team to remain in the National League this season with the aim to qualify to top flight Football next season.
