VALUE ADDITION KEY – SAYS ZAMBEEF CEO

ZAMBEEF Chief Executive Officer, FAITH MUKUTU says the company is positioned to double production capacity and extend its trading boundary.

This follows its announced investment of 100 million United States dollars.

Speaking when she led a team of Directors at the Mpongwe farms on the Copperbelt, Ms. MUKUTU said value addition is key to feeding the nation and the region.

And Ms. MUKUTU said capacity expansion works have started at the Mpongwe farms.

The projects include Water reticulation system, extending land for cultivation by a further 5,000 hectares and construction of a new Flour milling plant.

ZAMBEEF is the largest vertically integrated agro-processing company in Zambia and employs more than 7,000 workers.
