UTH Doctor Dragged to Court Over K170, 000

A University Teaching Hospital Doctor has been sued for failure to pay back a K170, 000 debt.

Doctor Sihem Dhifaoui allegedly borrowed money in August 2016 from local businessman Kennedy Kauwo of New Kasama but has failed to pay back the money forcing the creditor to take him to court.

Kauwo is demanding for the principal amount leant to Dr Dhifaoui plus interest.

He is also claiming costs and any other reliefs which the court may deem fit .

According to a statement of claim filed in the High Court registry by the Kauwo,   Dr Dhifaoui borrowed money in August 2016 and has not paid anything as per agreement.

Kauwo is contending that despite several demands, the Doctor has neglected to settle the outstanding amounting and as a result he has suffered and continues to suffer damages and loss by the failure to get back his money.
