US READY TO SUPPORT EDUCATION-FOOTE

US Ambassador to Zambia Daniel Foote says the US government seeks to foster passion and creativity of young people around the world.
Mr. Foote says the support is through educational exchange and study opportunities in the United States.
He was speaking during the launch of 2019 Educational USA and Zambia Scholars Programme.
Ambassador Foote disclosed that twenty-three young Zambians will undergo a training programme for 18 months in the United States of America.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Minister Professor Nkandu Luo said government will continue to create opportunities for future generations through partnerships with key stakeholders in the sector.
Professor Luo said young students need to realise the value of education and the role it plays for social and economic development of the country.
