UPND drops out

DARLINGTON MWENDABAI, Kasenengwa and BUTTYSON KANDIMBA, Solwezi
UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) candidate in the Kasenengwa parliamentary by-election Faustin Banda yesterday failed to file his nomination papers.This leaves Patriotic Front (PF) candidate Sensio Banda, People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) nominee John Zulu and United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia’s (UPPZ) Abel Ngwenya as the contestants for the September 6 by-election.
Dr Banda of the UPND failed to show up despite assurances from the main opposition party’s leaders that their candidate was still travelling from Lusaka.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
