UPHOLDING OF CHRISTIAN VALUES ASSURED

Information and Media Minister Chushi Kasanda says government will promote and uphold Christian values, respect for human dignity and tolerance.

Ms. Kasanda says government appreciates the partnership with the United Church of Zambia -UCZ- in up lifting the living standards of citizens in the area of education, health and agriculture.

She has called on the church to continue praying and working with the government in bettering the lives of citizens.

Ms. Kasanda who is also Chisamba Member of Parliament was speaking during the ordination reception service of Chipembi Congregation Reverend Chilambwe Lwao.

She congratulated Reverend LWAO and reaffirmed government’s commitment to continue working with the church.

Meanwhile UCZ Central Presbytery Bishop Laston Chisanga appealed to government to establish easy ways of communication with the church.

Bishop Chisanga said the church will remain government’s partner in providing social services to the people.

He urged Reverend Lwao to make an impact and ensure the church goes to another level from its current state.

And Reverend Lwao said the church endeavors to Minister to all the dimensions of human needs both spiritual and physical.

He said finding solutions to the challenges of the people should not be left to the government alone.
