UPGRADING OF KASAMA AIRPORT 50% DONE

Over half of construction works have been done in the first phase of the upgrading of the Kasama Airport.

The construction of the runway is expected to be completed within one month.

Northern Province Minister, LEONARD MBAO said the Government is targeting to finish all the projects that were left hanging in the last regime to improve service delivery.

Mr. MBAO said the second phase which will include the upgrading of the terminal building will soon be rolled out.

He said President HICHILEMA wants to ensure quality services are taken to all parts of the country.

Mr. MBAO said the Government wants to ensure that planes are able to land in Kasama before the Ukusefya Pa’ngwena Traditional Ceremony slated for August.
