Trouble is brewing at the University of Zambia with students threatening to again take to the Great East Road if they are not paid outstanding allowances by Friday.
Barely a month after re-opening, the students are contemplating a collision path with government who closed the institution for two months following riots of February 2.
The students were a fortnight ago paid their meal allowances with the accommodation and project allowances pending.
However, with the institution heading for a midterm break the students have run out of patience and are threatening to demonstrate.
The University of Zambia revised calendar indicates that students will be writing their midyear exams.
