Unity is cornestone of development-HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has reiterated the need for national unity anchored on love and trust for the country to reach higher heights in various spheres.

The president has observed that unity is a corner stone of economic, political and social development.

President HICHILEMA has also stressed that government is not in competition with the church in its pursuit of national affairs.

He has called for collaboration between government and the church in an effort to develop Zambia.

He has thanked the Seventh Day Adventist Church -SDA and other church denominations that have supplemented government’s efforts in the provision of education and health services in the country.

He said this in LUSAKA today at Heroes Stadium during the SDA’s “Big Sabbath” General Conference.

At the same function HARRINGTON AKOMBWA Southern African Indian Ocean Division President revealed that currently there are point four million baptized SDA members in ZAMBIA.

Dr. AKOMBWA has called for concerted efforts to enhance the membership of SDA globally through gospel preaching.

The “Big Sabbath”SDA General Conference is being presided upon by Global President TED WILSON based in Mary Land United States of America.

Pastor WILSON is accompanied by his wife NANCY and some other international SDA international dignitaries.
