UKRAINE: ALL STUDENTS TO BE QUARANTINED

Chief Government, Spokesperson CHUSHI KASANDA says all Zambians that are expected to arrive from Ukraine tomorrow Tuesday, will be quarantined for 48 hours in accommodation provided by Government.
Ms KASANDA has appealed to parents and guardians not to go to the airport to receive their loved ones.
She reiterates that parents and guardians will not be allowed to have immediate access to the students to allow for all the necessary health procedures to be carried out in line with national Covid 19 guidelines.
Ms KASANDA says government will ensure that Parents and Guardians are reunited with the nationals soon after all the necessary health procedures are completed.
Ms KASANDA, who is also Information and Media Minister, has also appealed to all parents and Guardians to remain calm as the operation to evacuate the Zambians is on course.
She told ZNBC News in a statement that government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will continue to monitor the evacuation process and give constant updates to the nation on the remaining nationals.
Ms KASANDA has assured the nation that government is firmly in control of the evacuation process.
On Sunday, March 6th, 2022, Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced tomorrow March 8th, 2022 as the arrival date of the first group of Zambian nationals from Ukraine.
