U-17 AFCON: Zambia drawn in group A alongside hosts Morocco o

The Zambia U-17 national team will meet hosts Morocco in the group stages of the 2021 TOTAL Africa Under-17 Cup of Nations which kicks off on 13 March next month after being drawn in group A.

Following the draws which were conducted on Wednesday afternoon, the Young Chipolopolo will square off with Morocco whose best finish was fourth in 2013. Others are in the same group are one-time Champion, Ivory Coast, and Uganda who are making only their second appearance at the tournament.

Zambia is only making their second appearance at the continental showpiece, having made the debut at the 2015 edition in Niger. UEFA Champions League campaigners and Copper Bullets star Patson and Enock Mwepu were part of the team.

Daka scored two goals for Zambia who only managed one win beating Niger 2-1.

Group B has two-time Champions, Nigeria, Tanzania, Algeria, and Congo.

Defending champions Cameroon has been placed in Group C alongside Senegal, Two-time Champions, Mali, and South Africa.

The tournament will run from March 13th to 31st 2021 in Morocco.
